The degrading state of the church
of wickedness and sin
still practiced among believers
both without and within
____
find no favor with Jesus Christ
because sin’s ugly stain
separates one from His presence
no harmony remains
____
found only in man such weakness
living a lie of deed
ne’er repenting because of shame
no fear of God takes heed
____
for fools shall make a mock at sin
not knowing whom they serve
but God will judge within His house
and give what they deserve
____
a heavy hand of correction
a judgment swift and sure
will purge the church of rebellion
it is a certain cure
____
holy is God His body clean
no blemish will there be
when Jesus Christ returns to earth
His bride in white set free
____
to ever be in His presence
adorned in majesty
the fruit of love displayed on earth
goes on eternally
